Founded in 2000, the Lawrence Health Foundation is a non-profit charitable organization established to help those in need by supporting Lawrence Health Services and its mission to be first choice in community health.

In 2008, the Foundation funded seven $1,000 scholarships to graduating Lawrence County seniors pursuing degrees in healthcare. A review committee, made up of citizens throughout the county and Foundation board, made the selections from applications.

The Foundation also purchased a bath lift for Lawrence Hall Nursing Center. This is the second lift contributed and was added because residents and staff reported high satisfaction levels with the equipment. There are three auxiliary groups that support the Foundation’s work:

Community relations committee
Appeals committee
Estates and trusts committee
