LAWRENCE MEMORIAL HOSPITAL

Dietary Aide (FT)
POSITION PURPOSE (Summary) Responsible for washing pots and pans; assist in the cleaning operations of the patient, resident and cafeteria trays delivered to the dish-room area. Does cleaning assignment as required by cleaning schedule. Acts as back-up helper for tray lines during meals.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Must be able to read, write and make simple calculations, and follow oral and written instructions. Must have high school diploma or GED.
Experience: Previous dietary experience is desirable but not essential. On the job training provided to learn the policies and procedures of the hospital/nursing home and the dietary department.

Housekeeping (FT)
POSITION PURPOSE (Summary) Responsible for cleaning Lawrence Memorial Health Services, which includes: Lawrence Memorial Hospital, Lawrence Hall Nursing Center, Family Medical Center, Rehab Services, Lawrence County Specialty Clinic and Home Medical Equipment & Supply.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Must be able to read, write, and do simple arithmetic. Needs mechanical aptitude and ability to follow oral and written instruction and work with limited supervision.
Experience: Worker needs four weeks on the job training under direction of director to require skill and versatility to perform satisfactorily.

Med Surg RN (2 Openings FT Nights & 1 PT Night Opening)
POSITION PURPOSE (Summary) Observe professional ethics in maintaining confidential information acquired concerning the personal, financial, medical or employment of patients of Lawrence Memorial Hospital. Must follow and enforce accepted Safety practices for patients. Must report safety hazards and initiate appropriate action. Must participate in safety instructional programs. Good communication skills with ability to notify physician and/or ambulance if necessary. Must demonstrate competent nursing skills. Must demonstrate leadership through fair delegation of duties. Must be capable of serving as a charge nurse.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school diploma or GED. An Associate or Baccalaureate degree from an approved state school of nursing. Will also consider an LPN for this position if currently enrolled in RN classes.

Patient Access Registrar (1 FT Opening & 1 PRN Night Opening)
POSITION PURPOSE (Summary) Arranges for the efficient and orderly registration of patients, ensures that accurate patient information is collected and that patients are made aware of hospital policies and procedures. Responsible for patient demographics utilized in the preparation of records and reports used in making operating decisions. Works with and has access to confidential patient information. Position requires making frequent decisions or actions followed general procedures often without clearly defined precedents. Position requires a high degree of mental alertness and close visual attention to details. Position requires diplomacy and a professional image and manner in dealing with patients, families, visitors, medical staff and personnel; registrar is responsible for a positive first impression of as the initial point of service contact for customers. Job responsibility includes registration in any area under the direction of the Director of Patient Access.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Minimum of high school diploma desired (not required), Health Care courses or on the job training specific to Hospital or Medical Office skills is desirable.
Experience: A minimum of one (1) year experience in a health care setting is preferred. Demonstrated proficient computer, written and verbal communication, telephone, cash handling and customer service skills. Requires (6) weeks on the job training to adequately attain job proficiency.

LAWRENCE HALL NURSING CENTER

RN (FT) (PT)
POSITION PURPOSE (Summary) Responsible for supervising therapeutic nursing care. Serves as a role model in clinical skills and leadership. Promotes good public relations for the nursing division and Lawrence Hall Nursing Center.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduate of accredited school of nursing and licensed by the state of Arkansas.
Experience: Must be a registered nurse with at least one year of recent clinical experience. Must possess and demonstrate clinical knowledge and confidence in chosen clinical area. Prefer experience in geriatric nursing.

LPN (FT) (PT)
POSITION PURPOSE (Summary) Directly responsible for supervision of the nursing unit and provision of resident care. Must possess a good working knowledge of the nursing process and demonstrate sound clinical skills. Must promote good public relations for the unit and maintain patient confidentiality.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Must be a graduate of an approved state school of nursing and currently licensed as a practical nurse in the state of Arkansas.
Experience: New licensed practical nurse graduate or previous experience as a nursing home charge nurse with an interest in geriatrics.

CNA (FT) (PT)
POSITION PURPOSE (Summary) Performs various duties assisting in the care of residents as assigned by the registered nurse or licensed practical nurse. Promotes good public relations for the unit and the nursing home. Performs other duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education: A high school diploma or GED is preferred. Must have completed an organized nursing assistant training program or equivalent. Must be certified by the state of Arkansas.
Experience: Must have worked as a nursing assistant within the past year. Previous experience in a geriatric setting preferred.

Hostess (FT)
POSITION PURPOSE (Summary) Responsible for providing accurate and timely food service to meet residents’ needs, in compliance with federal, state and local requirements.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Must be able to read, write and make simple calculations, and follow oral and written instructions. Must be able to withstand long periods of time on your feet. Must be able to lift at least 20lbs.
Experience: On the job training provided to learn the policies and procedures of the nursing home and the dietary department.

Hospitality (FT)
POSITION PURPOSE (Summary) Responsible for providing quality service to meet residents’ needs, in compliance with federal, state and local requirements.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Must be able to read, write and make simple calculations, and follow oral and written instructions. Must be able to withstand long periods of time on your feet. Must be able to lift at least 20 lbs.
Experience: On the job training provided to learn the policies and procedures of the nursing home and the dietary department.
