Lawrence Memorial Hospital opened in 1960.  Since that time, there have been several expansion programs. Services now include x-ray, ultrasound, mammography, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), consequential tomographic scanning (CT scan), laboratory, respiratory therapy, stress testing, electrocardiography (EKG), electroencephalogram (EEG), surgery and anesthesiology (GI Lab), physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, sleep disorders testing, Home Medical Equipment & Supply, Family Medical Center, the Lawrence County Specialty Clinic, and a 24-hour physician staffed emergency department. Our mission is to provide personalized health services in a safe and caring environment.

LPN – Family Medical Center – Full-time Days (Mon-Fri)

POSITION PURPOSE (Summary) Directly responsible for the therapeutic care of patients in clinic setting. The LPN promotes good public relations for the clinic and organization while maintaining patient confidence. Must be able to perform appropriately in crises situations.

Education: A graduate of an accredited school of nursing and currently licenced in the State of Arkansas.
Experience: 1 year experience, experience in a clinical setting is preferred.

Skills: Must possess a good working knowledge of the nursing process and demonstrate sound clinical skills. Ability to communicate effectively within the organization and project a positive attitude.

RN – Emergency Room – (FT) & (PRN) Nights
POSITION PURPOSE (Summary) To provide professional care while assuming responsibility and accountability for a group of Emergency Department patients, by providing direct and indirect care through the continued utilization of the nursing process in collaboration with other health team members. Provides care that reflects initiative, flexibility, and responsibility with a minimum of supervision. To triage safely, rapidly, and accurately, every patient that enters the emergency care system. Determines priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the system. Communicates with Emergency Department physician about changes in patient’s status, symtomatology, and results of diagnostic studies. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.

Education: A graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Experience:6 months RN experience in an ER setting is preferred.
License/Certification(s): Current Arkansas RN license, BLS certification. NIH, ACLS, PALS and TNCC certified within 6 months of hire.

Medical Lab Technician (Weekend Option) (FT) 
POSITION PURPOSE (Summary) The staff medical technologist will perform various chemical, microscopic, bacteriological, and immunological tests to obtain data used in diagnosis and treatment of disease.  Ensure that the Q.C. and maintenance is performed as appropriate.  Assist with trouble-shooting instructions as appropriate.  Assist in requisitioning necessary supplies, reagents and blood components.

Education: Must have associate degree and be a graduate from an approved school of medical technology.  Must be registered as a medical technologist by the American society of clinical Pathologists or be registry eligible.
Experience: Training accomplished in an approved school of medical technology required.  Previous experience in a clinical laboratory preferred.

Dietary Aide (FT)
POSITION PURPOSE (Summary) Responsible for washing pots and pans; assist in the cleaning operations of the patient, resident and cafeteria trays delivered to the dish-room area. Does cleaning assignment as required by cleaning schedule. Acts as back-up helper for tray lines during meals

Education: Must be able to read, write and make simple calculations, and follow oral and written instructions. Must have high school diploma or GED.
Experience: Previous dietary experience is desirable but not essential. On the job training provided to learn the policies and procedures of the hospital/nursing home and the dietary department.

CNA – Certified Nursing Assistant (FT) & (PT) 2nd & 3rd Shifts Available
POSITION PURPOSE (Summary) Performs various duties assisting in the care of residents as assigned by the registered nurse or licensed practical nurse. Promotes good public relations for the unit and the nursing home. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education: A high school diploma or GED is preferred. Must have completed an organized nursing assistant training program or equivalent. Must be certified by the state of Arkansas.
Experience: Must have worked as a nursing assistant within the past year. Previous experience in a geriatric setting preferred.

Hostess (FT)
POSITION PURPOSE (Summary) Responsible for providing accurate and timely food service to meet residents’ needs, in compliance with federal, state and local requirements.

Education: Must be able to read, write and make simple calculations, and follow oral and written instructions. Must be able to withstand long periods of time on your feet. Must be able to lift at least 20lbs.
Experience: On the job training provided to learn the policies and procedures of the nursing home and the dietary department.

(PT) = Part Time
(PRN) = Work only when needed
(WEO) = Weekend Option
