LAWRENCE MEMORIAL HOSPITAL

Staff Pharmacist (PRN)
POSITION PURPOSE (Summary) Provide professional services in the hospital. Assist the Director of Pharmacy in maintaining the Pharmacy in accordance with accepted professional principles and regulatory guidelines. Observe professional ethics in maintaining confidential information acquired concerning the personal, financial, medical or employment of patients of Lawrence Memorial Hospital. Follow and enforce accepted Patient Safety practices. Report safety hazards and initiate appropriate action. Participate in safety instructional programs. Good communication skills with ability to notify physician if necessary.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Must be a graduate from an accredited school of pharmacy with at least a Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy (BSPH).
Training & Experience: Hospital pharmacy residency and /or previous experience in hospital pharmacy is essential. Minimum of two years experience as a practicing pharmacist preferred.
Licenses/Certificates: Must be currently licensed to practice pharmacy in the State of Arkansas, such licensure granted by the State Board of Pharmacy after passing the required examinations or by reciprocity based in passing such examinations in another state.

MLT – Medical Lab Technician (PRN)
POSITION PURPOSE (Summary) The staff medical technologist will perform various chemical, microscopic, bacteriological, and immunological tests to obtain data used in diagnosis and treatment of disease. Ensure that the Q.C. and maintenance is performed as appropriate. Instruct new technologist, technicians. Assist with trouble-shooting instructions as appropriate. Assist in requisitioning necessary supplies, reagents and blood components.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Must have associate degree and be a graduate from an approved school of medical technology. Must be registered as a medical technologist by the American society of clinical Pathologists or be registry eligible.
Training & Experience: Training accomplished in an approved school of medical technology required. Previous experience in a clinical laboratory preferred.

Emergency Dept RN (FT Night Position & PRN)
POSITION PURPOSE (Summary) To provide professional care while assuming responsibility and accountability for a group of Emergency Department patients, by providing direct and indirect care through the continued utilization of the nursing process in collaboration with other health team members. Provides care that reflects initiative, flexibility, and responsibility with a minimum of supervision. To triage safely, rapidly, and accurately, every patient that enters the emergency care system. Determines priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the system. Communicates with Emergency Department Physician about changes in patient’s status, symptomatology, and results of diagnostic studies. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and response to treatment.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Has completed an approved high school course of study or the equivalent thereof; and is a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and holds a diploma or certificate there from; and is currently licensed in the state of Arkansas.
Experience: Up to 6 months RN experience desirable.

Housekeeping (FT)
POSITION PURPOSE (Summary) Responsible for cleaning Lawrence Memorial Health Services, which includes: Lawrence Memorial Hospital, Lawrence Hall Nursing Center, Family Medical Center, Rehab Services, Lawrence County Specialty Clinic and Home Medical Equipment & Supply.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Must be able to read, write, and do simple arithmetic. Needs mechanical aptitude and ability to follow oral and written instruction and work with limited supervision.
Experience: Worker needs four weeks on the job training under direction of director to require skill and versatility to perform satisfactorily.

Med Surg Patient Care Tech (FT Nights)
POSITION PURPOSE (Summary) Assist patient with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-acutely ill patients and assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit and the LPN assigned to the patient.
General Responsibilities: Observe professional ethics in maintaining confidential information acquired concerning the personal, financial, medical or employment of patients of Lawrence Memorial Hospital. Must follow and enforce accepted Safety practices for patients. Must report safety hazards and initiate appropriate action. Must participate in safety instructional programs. Good communication skills with ability to notify physician and/or ambulance if necessary.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school graduate or GED preferred.
Experience: Minimum of six (6) months experience preferred.
Licenses/Certificates: BLS preferred within six (6) months of hire. Annual successful completion of skills competency checklists.

Med Surg RN (FT Days & FT Nights)
POSITION PURPOSE (Summary) Observe professional ethics in maintaining confidential information acquired concerning the personal, financial, medical or employment of patients of Lawrence Memorial Hospital. Must follow and enforce accepted Safety practices for patients. Must report safety hazards and initiate appropriate action. Must participate in safety instructional programs. Good communication skills with ability to notify physician and/or ambulance if necessary. Must demonstrate competent nursing skills. Must demonstrate leadership through fair delegation of duties. Must be capable of serving as a charge nurse.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school diploma or GED. An Associate or Baccalaureate degree from an approved state school of nursing. Will also consider an LPN for this position if currently enrolled in RN classes.

Patient Access Registrar (PRN)
POSITION PURPOSE (Summary) Arranges for the efficient and orderly registration of patients, ensures that accurate patient information is collected and that patients are made aware of hospital policies and procedures. Responsible for patient demographics utilized in the preparation of records and reports used in making operating decisions. Works with and has access to confidential patient information. Position requires making frequent decisions or actions followed general procedures often without clearly defined precedents. Position requires a high degree of mental alertness and close visual attention to details. Position requires diplomacy and a professional image and manner in dealing with patients, families, visitors, medical staff and personnel; registrar is responsible for a positive first impression of as the initial point of service contact for customers. Job responsibility includes registration in any area under the direction of the Director of Patient Access.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Minimum of high school diploma desired (not required), Health Care courses or on the job training specific to Hospital or Medical Office skills is desirable.
Experience: A minimum of one (1) year experience in a health care setting is preferred. Demonstrated proficient computer, written and verbal communication, telephone, cash handling and customer service skills. Requires (6) weeks on the job training to adequately attain job proficiency.

Dietary Aide (FT)
POSITION PURPOSE (Summary) Responsible for washing pots and pans; assist in the cleaning operations of the patient, resident and cafeteria trays delivered to the dish-room area. Does cleaning assignment as required by cleaning schedule. Acts as back-up helper for tray lines during meals.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Must be able to read, write and make simple calculations, and follow oral and written instructions. Must have high school diploma or GED.
Experience: Previous dietary experience is desirable but not essential. On the job training provided to learn the policies and procedures of the hospital/nursing home and the dietary department.

X-Ray/CT Tech (PRN)
POSITION PURPOSE (Summary) Coordinates and performs the diagnostic radiographic cases in various imaging modalities with proficiency. Must have ability to handle multiple tasks/projects with demonstration of ethical and professional conduct. Technologist is required to display a good understanding of age-related developmental issues of pediatric through geriatrics. It is the responsibility of this individual to follow all Federal and State regulations applicable to Diagnostic Imaging Services.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Must have completed the curriculum of a recognized school of Radiologic technology, certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and licensed by the State Department of Health.
Experience: Prefer one year of radiology experience, but will consider registry eligible graduate. CPR certification is required.
Licenses/Certifications: Arkansas State licensure, ARRT.

Storeroom Clerk/Laundry Tech (FT)
POSITION PURPOSE (Summary) Procures and expedites delivery of all supplies to using departments. Assists other departments in obtaining information about products, i.e. price and availability. Maintains department records. Maintains the stockroom in an orderly manner. To receive products ordered, fill and deliver department supplies, properly documenting all received items and file paperwork. Responsible for operating washers and dryers. Must be able to use judgment on unusually soiled linens and know when to use additional suds or bleach. Must understand importance of aseptic technique, job and fire regulations.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school education or equivalent
Experience: Prefers experience in central supply area, but will offer on-the-job training. At least two years patient nursing care helpful. Must be able to follow written and verbal requests and suggest substitution of products when necessary. Worker needs four weeks on the job training under direction of director to require skill and versatility to perform satisfactorily.

LAWRENCE HALL NURSING CENTER

RN (FT) (PT)
POSITION PURPOSE (Summary) Responsible for supervising therapeutic nursing care. Serves as a role model in clinical skills and leadership. Promotes good public relations for the nursing division and Lawrence Hall Nursing Center.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduate of accredited school of nursing and licensed by the state of Arkansas.
Experience: Must be a registered nurse with at least one year of recent clinical experience. Must possess and demonstrate clinical knowledge and confidence in chosen clinical area. Prefer experience in geriatric nursing.

LPN (FT) (PT)
POSITION PURPOSE (Summary) Directly responsible for supervision of the nursing unit and provision of resident care.  Must possess a good working knowledge of the nursing process and demonstrate sound clinical skills.  Must promote good public relations for the unit and maintain patient confidentiality.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Must be a graduate of an approved state school of nursing and currently licensed as a practical nurse in the state of Arkansas.
Experience: New licensed practical nurse graduate or previous experience as a nursing home charge nurse with an interest in geriatrics.

CNA (FT) (PT)
POSITION PURPOSE (Summary) Performs various duties assisting in the care of residents as assigned by the registered nurse or licensed practical nurse.  Promotes good public relations for the unit and the nursing home.  Performs other duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education: A high school diploma or GED is preferred.  Must have completed an organized nursing assistant training program or equivalent.  Must be certified by the state of Arkansas.
Experience: Must have worked as a nursing assistant within the past year.  Previous experience in a geriatric setting preferred.

Hostess (FT)
POSITION PURPOSE (Summary) Responsible for providing accurate and timely food service to meet residents’ needs, in compliance with federal, state and local requirements.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Must be able to read, write and make simple calculations, and follow oral and written instructions. Must be able to withstand long periods of time on your feet. Must be able to lift at least 20lbs.
Experience: On the job training provided to learn the policies and procedures of the nursing home and the dietary department.

Hospitality (FT)
POSITION PURPOSE (Summary) Responsible for providing quality service to meet residents’ needs, in compliance with federal, state and local requirements.
